Italian businesses have continuously shown their interest to invest in the Albanian market and recently a new Italian investment has been inaugurated in Katund i Ri village, in Durres.
The garment-producing enterprise, which will produce textile and clothing upon the request of large garment enterprises in Italy, is expected to employee more than 200 women, residents in the Shkozeti and Spitalla rural areas.
Present during the inauguration ceremony of this enterprice were the Italian ambassador in Albania, Masimo Gaiani, Minister of Social Welfare Erion Veliaj, the head of Durres Municipality Vangjus Dako and the Prefect of Durres county Roland Xhelilaj.
Minister of Social Welfare Erion Veliaj, expressed his satisfaction during the opening speech about this Italian investment by highlighting that the government hasn’t the capacities to employee all the unemployed persons but its has the obligation to provide facilities for local and foreign businesses in order to decrease the unepmoyement rate.
Meanwhile, the head of Durres Municipality estimated this new enterprise as a very important opportunity for the residents of the rural area of Katund i Ri and the areas near it, by saying that this investment in addition, meets all the EU standarts.
The Italian ambassador Masimo Gaiani declared that Albanian provides a positive climate for investments and he promised to do everything needed in order to create a confidential climate and mutual collaboration to increase the number of Italian investments in Albania.
