Kuwaiti government will invest 3 ml EUR for the construction of an educational complex in Don Bosco street, in Tirana. This upcoming investment became public during the meeting of the head of Tirana Municipality (in the same time, the Head of Democratic Party) Lulezim Basha, and the Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation, headed by Saud Nashmi Al-Huraije.
This project includes the construction of an elementary school, a high school, a kindergarden and a Multifunctional Social Centre.
Basha estimated the support of Kuwait for Albanians saying that Kuwait has provided a big help for Albania in difficult moments, especially after the fall of the communist regime or during Kosovo war.
Kuwait delegation expressed their pleasure of meeting the head of Tirana Municipality and for the so-far collaboration, emphasizing the readiness of Kuwait government for any project of Tirana Municipality and to strengthen the economic collaboration between the two countries.
According to Kuwait parliamentarians, “Tirana is a city worth visiting and investing”. They promised that this collaboration will intensify further and committed to encourage Kuwait investors to invest in Tirana.
This is not the first time that Kuwait invests in Albania. The Kuwaitian government has invested in the renovation of “Scanderbeg” square, in the rehabilitation of Tirana river, ect.
