TIRANA, July 3
Albanian and international tourists that want to travel from Vlora to Saranda, southern Albania, and further to Corfu Island or vice-versa can now take advantage of a new sea itinerary. The south will get closer thanks to Vlora-Himara-Saranda- Corfu hydrofoil line.
The news was confirmed for Ora news by the director of Vlora Port Admir Malaj. He said that this new line will operate until September 2017.
According to Malaj, a company that currently operates Saranda-Corfu lines expressed interest for including Vlora and Himara on its itinerary. He added that this is a novelty and also said that the staff in Vlora Port will increase in order to deal with the influx of travelers. Currently, 250-500 persons travel every day through Vlora Port.
