The Ministry of Economic Development has announced that a group of experts of the Ministry are working on the public private partnership law to make changes of it. The Ministry aims to provide more facilities and the standardization of the procedures for concessionary agreements.
The Public Private partnership is a form of financing of the public authorities which in cases of a public project, make public calls to private investors and companies to invest and manage a public project or program in benefit to citizens.
The changes in the law foresee that new services from private companies will be offered in health care system, agriculture, food safety, ect. They are expected to reduce significantly the government’s expenditures for public investments.
This form of cooperation between the government and private entities offers wide opportunities for citizens for better or improved services of high quality which in some cases the governmental institutions may not be able to offer.
