Brace yourself Albania, ecotourists are coming. The National Geographic Travel just spread the word about the best places to visit in 2018 in these three categories, cities, culture, and nature.
The editors of the National Geographic Travel are the best people to ask for advice for matters of worldwide travel. From the north to the southern pole, it seems that they have been anyplace, Albania included, as our small country has been listed among the 21 must-see destinations for 2018.
Best of the World, Where to go in 2018? According to Nat Geo, this is the number one question that they get from their 9.6 readers. Thus, the travel editors made a selection of 21 places that can be found in December/January 2018 issue.
“Our Best of the World list responds to that question with 21 timely destinations that make for a year of transformative travels,” said George Stone, National Geographic Traveler editor in chief.
Further on, he explained that National Geographic, which has 15 international editions, has a global team of writers, photographers, and travel experts that helped to make the list of the destinations that he calls ‘stellar places’.
Albania is listed under the nature category along with Jordan Trail, Jujuy Province in Argentina, Madagascar, Oahu in Hawaii, Ruaha Np in Tanzania, Seoraksan National Park in South Korea. The list of the 21 destinations in alphabetic order:
