The government has decided to review the allocation of public expenses, predicted in the Budget 2015. The review will be made without making changes in the agreement reached with the International Monetary Fund, according to Ministry of Financesโ officials. The Ministry of Finances says it will shorten many expenses due to their non-realization in the predicted deadline.
Budget expenses will be reviewed based on the incomes collected during the first 6 months of this year, without including the not-yet disbursed loan from the IMF (in the end of June). The IMF loan will be given in quarterly installments in the framework of the agreement signed by the government and IMF in 2014 and is worth EUR 26 million. The main objective of the Ministry of Finances during 2015 has been to keep the deficit level at the same levels set at the beginning of this year at the agreement with the IMF.
On September, the Ministry of Finances will review also the fiscal package and the project budget of 2016. During this time, the ministry will restart the negotiations with the IMF for the disbursement of the next loan installment.
