After the claims of Democratic Party for the increase of circulation taxes by the current government, Deputy Minister of Economy stated on January 26 that this is an inherited tax from the previous government and has not been changed.
“The opposition party cannot accuse the government for the increase of circulation and crude taxes as long as they have been approved by it at the time DP had the majority in parliament, declared Ervin Mete.
Nowadays, he added, the oil and its products’ prices have decreased by 20%, and sales are being controlled about products’ quality and quantity. Previously, the circulation tax was 17% but by entering into force of the new budget and fiscal package 2015, the circulation tax rose by 10%.
The opposition party has asked the cut of circulation tax in order to ease the tax burden for Albanian citizens, which pay high prices for crude products.
