“Made in Albania” products will become a competing brand in the European market in a few years, declared the Assembly Speaker Ilir Meta during the inauguration ceremony of a new investments in a poultry farm in Xhafzotaj area, Durres. Meta and the Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti awarded “Rea’s” poultry farm with “The Stamp of Quality” award for the high standards and food safety that this business performs in the production of eggs and chicken meat.
The Assembly Speaker praised the reached standards by this business with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, by saying: “Albania will soon start to export eggs in the European Union countries’ markets “Made in Albania” products, by doubling in this way the domestic production”.
Made in Albania products will affect directly in country’s economy, added Meta, declaring that “the vision of the current government is the transformation of the agriculture in the primary motor of the economic growth and in the increase of employment rate”.
In turn, the Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti said that after Albania starts exporting towards the European Union markets, it will produce about 600 million eggs per year, from 300 million that produces currently. “Albania is ready to export the fresh eggs in the European markets and by this the production of eggs in Albania will have a new perspective in the international market,” declared Panariti.
