In the framework the public expenditures reform, the Minister of Finances Shkelqim Cani presented the Strategy for the Management of Public Finances 2014-2020, in a joint conference with the Director for the Western Balkans of the European Commission, Jean Eric Paquet.
The Minister of Finances has declared that the public expenditures will be controlled more strictly and will be under the management of the Assembly. The project for the management of the public expenditures also predicts the compilation of mid-term budgetary programmes, according to the Minister.
The new programme, according to Minister Cani, will improve the management of the public financings use, which as a consequence will improve the economic development rates.
During the presentation of the new programme, the Director for the Western Balkans of the European Commission, Jean Eric Paquet underlined that this strategy is very important and that the European Union will continually support the budget of Albania.
The Strategy for the Management of Public Finances for 2014-2020 period was compiled and approved by the parliament on December of the past year.
