According to the Albanian Minister of Finance, Arben Ahmetaj, the World Bank considers foreign and domestic investments in Albania as the most important source of country’s economic growth.
He said that Albania’s economy will grow by 3.4% during 2016, 0.5% higher than the average economic growth of regional countries. According to Ahmetaj, the reform against the informality is in the second phase and that it is being implemented in the institutional level.
The Minister also said that since in 2013, more than 170.000 people have been employed in non-agriculture sectors. The undertaken reforms in the past two years have had political costs but they were necessary reforms whose results will be noticed in the coming years.
