The Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti visited a winery in Kala area of Preze village and took the chance to inform farmers on the farmer’s card importance. The Minister declared that the formalization of the agriculture sector does not represent a tax burden for farmers but is a process that will help to have an active role in the implementation of agricultural policies by the government. Registered farmers will also have more opportunities to take part in EU funds and programs in this field.
According to the Minister, farmers are aware of the fact that illicit work is not convenient to them because only the consolidation of a chain of values can ensure success of the agriculture sector. Panariti vowed to fully support farmers for the export of bio products and new initiatives in this sector which promise employment for local residents of an area and are an added value.
Agriculture is one of the most important sectors for country’s economy since a high percentage of Albanians are depended on family incomes from this sector. During 2015, “Made in Albania” exports boosted despite damages caused by massive flooding in the beginning of the year and many private investments were inaugurated throughout the country.
