The Albanian Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti has declared in a press interview for New Europe Belgian news site that Albania is exporting unique agriculture products in several European countries and that “Made in Albania” mark has a lot to offer in the international market.
The Minister was asked about the current situation of the agriculture sector in Albania and the expectations for this sector since Albania is an EU candidate country and aims to become part of the European Union family as soon as possible. According to the Minister, Albanian farmers are currently offering and will offer more quality and unique products to the European market, products that meet all the EU standards.
Speaking about the administrative procedures set by the EU for the trade of agricultural products, the Minister declared that Albanian farmers are aware of the fact that they should meet some specific criteria in selling their products such as the prohibition to sell milk in plastic bottles or other prohibitions which are crucial for ensuring quality for agricultural products. “Albanian farmers have embraced these criteria by applying them,” declared Panariti.
Albania produces high quality olive oil, several types of cheese and medicinal and aromatic plants which get exported in many European Union countries and the USA. “New Europe” is one of the most influential news sites in the European Union since it covers the latest developments of the European Union organization.
