Durres Port Authority confirmed that the amount of ‘Made in Albania’ cement exported during 2017 was about 300,000 tones. This was confirmed on Tuesday in an official statement issued by the Port Authority.
“Since the beginning of this year, 297,700 tons of cement produced in Fushe Kruja area were shipped to other ports. This amount increased significantly compared to 2016,” the press statement says.
The cement was shipped by Sirios Cement 1 and Vela 1cargo ships that transported about 95 percent of exported cement. This product had a key role in the increased volume of goods processed for export in Durres Port.
The Albanian cement that is produced by the cement plants near Fushe Kruja area, and used for construction, was mostly transported to Italy and Malta.
