On Friday, December 19, the Italian Ambassador inaugurated a new laboratory named “Fashion VET – AL” at the Economic – Technique Professional School in Tirana which will serve as a professional course for footwear styling. This is an initiate that aims to increase and boost the production of “Made in Albania” shoes in order to produce Albanian products and not to rely only in garment and footwear outsourcing foreign companies.
Present in the ceremony was also the Minister of Social Welfare and Youth Blendi Klosi according to which Albania must be transformed into a country that produces its own Made in Albania products in the garment industry.
The project will be implemented for a period of two years and the first phase has already begun. The laboratory is equipped with the best equipments with EU standards.
This project comes as a joint collaboration between the Albanian Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth and the Italian region of Marche, supported by the Italian- Albanian Debt Conversion program IADSA.
