TIRANA, July 24
Representatives of the Albanian and Kosovan governments discussed the elimination of trade barriers. Kosovan deputy Minister of Finances Agim Krasniqi and the Minister of Industry Hykmete Bajrami expected in an official meeting with Albanian Deputy Minister of Finances Irena Beqiraj.
They focused on bilateral cooperation between both countries, especially in the economic sector.
They discussed opportunities for identifying barriers or delays on customs procedures in order that both customs and the tax administration comply with their tasks and responsibilities. Moreover, Minister Krasniqi added that existing or possible problems in the business, import, and export fields were the focus of the meeting.
On her part, Minister Bajrami said that Kosovo as a member of CEFTA is facing some problems and trade barriers, especially with neighboring countries.
βWithin a week, the chairmen of the Albanian and Kosovan customs will meet, discuss and agree on the elimination of reference prices,β Minister Bajrami said
