King Abdullah II of Jordan held his first official visit to Albania on May 12th, in the framework of the strengthening of cooperation between Albania and the country he represents. The King was welcomed by the Prime Minister Edi Rama in a meeting where they discussed about cooperation in potential fields of mutual interest.
According to the press release by the Prime Ministry, the heads of Albania and Jordan asserted that the relations between the two countries are characterized by friendship and well understanding. They vowed to increase the economic cooperation as the Jordan King expressed interest in the tourism sector, as a high potential sector to invest in.
King Abdullah II appraised the natural beauties of the Albanian Riviera and ensured the Albanian Prime Minister that he would encourage Jordan investors to consider investing in Albania. Other fields of interest for investments mentioned by the King Abdullah II were the health care, security and the ICT fields.
