TIRANA, September 14
The Joint Chamber of Commerce between Albania and Switzerland was opened on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of cooperation between the two countries. The opening of the joint chamber of commerce was considered necessary in order to provide a better channeling of information and addressing different problems faced by the Swiss business community.
Swiss Ambassador to Tirana Christoph Graf said that this initiative will help to boost economic relations between the two countries and it is going to further encourage investments in Albania.
“Albania is engaged in a dynamic reform agenda and committed to moving forward. That is one reason and a good reason that Switzerland continues to support Albania on its path towards European integration”, Swiss Ambassador Graf said.
Moreover, he added that he would like to see more Swiss investors in Albania, but there is still much to be done. He said that the joint Chamber of Commerce is a step forward and it would help Albanian companies expand in Switzerland and also to attract Swiss companies in Albania.
The anniversary event took place at Center for Openness and Dialogue at the premises of the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday while activities on this occasion will continue until Thursday when the Swiss-Albanian movie “Dealing with the Past” will be screened at 18:00 hours at Millenium Cinema.
