The international credit rating institution JCR Eurasia Rating has ranked Albania in the countries with a positive performance regarding the long-term lending in Albanian and foreign currencies, giving a BB+ evaluation.
According to the report published for 2015, the foreign currency in long terms has been evaluated with BB+ as well as the local currency (Albanian Lek). The short term local and foreign currencies have been evaluated as stable with B points.
The report cites that the lending activity in the country has been supported mainly by the fiscal consolidation policies, the IMF suggestions, and the motivation for strategic reforms as the fastest way to integrate in the European Union.
