Japanese government will give a grant of JPY 500 million for a governmental project in protecting the environment. On July 29th, diplomatic notes where exchanged between the vise Prime Minister Niko Peleshi and the Japanese ambassador to Tirana Kazuyoshi Umemoto, in Tirana.
The project will optimize the supportive administrative services for governmental institutions and will assist the implementation of action plans for the rehabilitation of damaged environmental areas, according to Peleshi. “I had the pleasure to exchange diplomatic notes with the Japanese ambassador to Tirana, His Excellency Kazuyoshi Umemoto on behalf of a generous grant of JPY 500 ml for the protection of the environment in Albania”, declared Peleshi at the end of the meeting.
The Japanese ambassador also had a meeting with the vise Minister of Foreign Affairs, Selim Belortaja and held discussions on the high efficiency of the Japanese government aid scheme to Albania and the volume of contributions in years.
The grant on protecting the environment will also increase capacities in protecting the environment and reducing air pollution, according to a statement of the vise Prime Minister made in his Facebook page.
