Albania will host today (December 30) the Italian Prime Minister, Mateo Renzi at his first visit to Albania, where he will meet with high ranked officials. Based on the published agenda of the official visit, on 13:35 Renzi will arrive in Tirana and will attend a welcoming ceremony in his honor at the Prime Ministry’s headquarters, followed by a meeting with his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama and their respective delegations.
Renzi will also meet the Presindent of the Republic of Albania Bujar Nishani and the Assembly Speaker Ilir Meta, after attending a joint press conference with Albanian PM Edi Rama in 14:45. Renzi’s visit to Tirana will be followed by meetings with several representative of the Italian community living in Albania, politicians, diplomats, religious and business representatives.
The Albanian State Police announced a day before that several measures are undertaken in order to avoid any kind of problem during the Italian PM Renzi visit to Albania.
