Albanian and Italian businesses gathered on September 22 in Tirana in the Italia – Albania Business Forum with the participation of the Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Italian Ambassador to Tirana, Massimo Gaiani.
During the discussions, the Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that the war against the informality will continue as a process that will not stop and the government according to him is working in two directions, in fighting the informality and in implementing the reform in the justice field.
“I believe today we are doing something that we have never done before by fighting the informality in order to free the market from the unfair competition. By the other side, we are undertaking the reform in the justice system which we aim to transform into an instrument that establishes a correct justice system,” said the Prime Minister Edi Rama. Justice is not merchandise that can be sold or bought – added Rama.
Italia – Albania Business Forum gathered Italian and Albanian businessmen and business representatives that operate in the country, ambassadors, Ministers of Economy and business experts. Businesses established by Italians in Albania in the past years have increased rapidly due to the low taxes that the Albanian tax system applies for new businesses. Italians consider Albania as a heaven of taxes and they operate in the country mainly by offering client services, as Call Centers.
