According to a latest report published by the Institute of Statistics, trade exchanges between Albania and several European Union countries during July of this year increased to 69.2% of the total trade exchanges amount. Albanian exports towards European Union countries comprised 80% of the total amount of exports while imports from the EU countries comprised 64.6% of the total amounts of imports entered in Albania during July 2015.
The main trade partners of Albania are Italy (37.8% of trade exchanges), Turkey (6.2%), Greece (5.9%), and Germany (5.9%). In July of this year “Made in Albania” exports increased significantly compared to the same period of a year before. They increased by 54% with Germany, by 10.4% with Italy and 2.5% with Kosovo. However, “Made in Albania” exports decreased in Spain, Malta and Greece.
At the same time, Albania increased imports from Germany by 22.1%, Turkey by 18.2% and Italy by 3.6%. Imports coming from the USA decreased by 41.2%, from Greece decreased by 13.5% and from China by 3.7%.
