Institute of Statistics issued a new report on the number of enterprises currently operating in the market, based on Structural Survey of Economic Enterprises 2013.
Survey’s data show that country’s economy is dominated by small size enterprises which comprise almost 90% of the total number. The survey shows that in 2013 the number of enterprises was 84.790 and according to the report, these enterprises have hired 344.529 employees in one year
Enterprises which have more than 80 employees have hired 31.5% of employed individuals, have realized 38.6% of gross sales and have made about 53.9% of investments. Most of these enterprises are production factories. Enterprises with 1-4 employees have hired 34.5% of employed individuals and have realized 15.9% of gross sales. Small sized enterprises offer various types of services
Most of enterprises (85.3%) operate in the market by offering services (mainly wholesale or retail trade, car services, ect.). The report shows that in trade sector are invested only 15% of all investments made in economic activities studied by the survey.
