Foreign companies are showing more interest to invest in Albania. According to the head of the Albanian Investment and Development Agency, Gent Beqiri, countries such as the United Arab Emirates with which Albania hasn’t had intense economic relations, are showing interest to invest in Albania. Beqiri said in a press interview for Scan TV that investors from the United Arab Emirates are interested to invest in the tourism sector.
The head of AIDA also added that Chinese investors are making efforts to invest in the country. Beqiri visited the booths of many Chinese companies at “Business – Art – Cohabitation” international fair which is being held in Tirana from November 21 to November 25.
Beqiri declared that the new law on investments which will enter in law on January 1st of 2016, will provide more facilities for foreign investors, especially for strategic investors and this change in the legal framework will attract more investors in Albania in the upcoming years.
