The Albanian government may sell stocks it owns in trade associations with fully or partially state owned partnership, associations which currently operate in non strategic sectors. The latest decision of the government predicts the privatization of some associations by dividing the stocks among the interested people. The owners of the terrain where a company may located, former employees or even simple citizen can become part of this process.
The announcement for the selling of stocks will be published by the Minister of Economic Development, a decision that will be followed by the starting of the procedures with the permission of the Council of Ministers. The share of government’s packages of stocks will be made in a transparent way by auction, after experts have evaluated the value of the facility or company.
If we take a look at the revenues that are expected to be collected by the privatizations processes, experts estimate that in 2015 these revenues will reach 1.5bl ALL. Albanian state institutions are full or partial owner in 344 commercial associations.
