Albanian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Edmond Panariti signed a cooperation agreement with the Head of the German Federal Office for Agriculture and Food Hans Kristofeiden on assisting Albania for adopting the EU standards regarding Albanian products.
The assistance will be given in the technical aspect and will ensure the appliance of the European Union standards in Albanian bio products and in increasing the exports for agricultural products.
Albania needs assistance in meeting the European Union standards regarding the food safety, declared the Albanian Minister of Agriculture.
According to him, this agreement reached with the German government will increase the amount of products exported and imported between the two countries. The assistance program supported by the German Federal Office for Agriculture and Food will increase the contribution of Albania in scientific terms regarding food safety.
INSTAT figures show that trade exchanges with Germany were registered at the amount of 1.166 million ALL during January – February period in 2015.
Present in the signing ceremony of the agreement was also the Vise Ambassador of Germany to Tirana, Anke Holstein.
