TIRANA, October 26
As it was announced in the previous weeks, Germany-based airline, Germania confirmed that it will launch flights from Zurich to Tirana next summer. Tickets are available and can be booked at the airline’s website. The first flight is scheduled for May 30, 2019, and the current price for a one-way trip is Euro 95. An airbusA319 aircraft will fly from Zurich to Tirana and vice-versa twice a week, on Thursday and Sunday.
Currently, the airline operates direct flights in the region to Pristina, Split, Skopje, Burgas, and Varna. A large community of Albanians is based in Switzerland and the new direct route is expected to improve mobility and to boost tourism and investment opportunities.
