TIRANA, May 5
Germany is increasing its funding for supporting sustainable economic development and employment growth in Albania. Besides the existing projects, a fund of Euro six million was granted by the German government. Ambassador Susanne Schutz confirmed this.
She said that the fund will help to create new perspectives on professional qualification, especially for the youth.
The fund will support new training projects at the vocational school of Kamza, professional consulting offers, and internships in private enterprises. Moreover, it will focus on supporting young entrepreneurs that will develop innovative business ideas.
“So far, 13 new cooperation agreements with Germany have been adopted and ratified by the Albanian Parliament by providing Euro 31 million grants and Euro 37 million loans,” Deputy Prime Minister Niko Peleshi said.
Germany is the biggest donator for Albania regarding economic cooperation. In the meantime, it is expected to support Albania with Euro 100 million during the 2017-2018 period.
