The German Association of Industry and Commerce in Albania (DIHA) announced on Tuesday results of surveys conducted with its members regarding the situation of business climate in Albania for 2015.
According to DIHA’s results, Albania offers better conditions for doing business compared to 2013 and 2014.
The findings of the survey have been unveiled at the premises of the German Embassy in Albania in the presence of Ambassador Hellmut Hoffmann and DIHA’s General Secretary Annete Kasten.
Referring to the final data, Kasten said that over 19 percent of the companies polled said that they consider improved the economic situation, 34 percent consider the economic situation pleasing and the remained 47 say that it is negative.
Speaking about the future of the Albanian economy, Kasten said that companies in general hope for an improvement of the situation. Based on DIHA’s data, improvement has been noticed in all the factors that affect the choice of an investment destination. On his part, German Ambassador Hoffmann highlighted that the trend of economic development in Albania is positive.
These results show a positive turn in the assessment of the economic situation of companies, based on the fact that during the last five years, representatives of businesses have been less positive regarding the economic development in Albania.
Currently, about 66 percent of the businesses that are operating in Albanian said that they would invest again.
