Albanian National Chamber of Garment Manufacturers has conducted a survey to ask its member commercial entities about the performance of Albania’s economy in the latest months and the export’s level. The results show that the performance of exports for the January-June period is considerable and the results seem promising because of the raise of the requests from foreign contractors to increase investments in Albania, a fact alleged by 95% of respondents.

According to the survey results, more than 50% commercial entities which responded to the survey have declared that their imports on equipment and machineries have increased, since they have made new investments in their companies. Most of them assert that these policies have had their effect in their activity.
Circa 16% of the companies which took part in this survey have shown satisfaction regarding the refund of the outstanding VAT and about 14% of the asked companies have not applied yet for the refund scheme for 2014.
