In the domestic market, the retail trade of fuel price decreased over the weekend. After many debate which followed in the parliament about the high price of fuels which are currently being traded by three big economic operators, seems that this is being reflected in price decline by about 4 ALL for the oil and 3 ALL for gasoline.
Based on data released by a survey, in few of retail points in Tirana capital, the oil is sold with 159 ALL per liter while gasoline about 160 ALL per liter. Cheaper prices of fuel mean less cost for the vital sectors of the economy, such as transport, tourism, industry, etc. In the meantime, fuel prices in international markets are declining significantly day by day.
Fuel prices have been decreasing continually in latest weeks in international markets, which has not been reflected in the Albanian market until the end of the past weekend. This brought many discussions between MPs for the increase of the circulation tax and other taxes which had affected, according to them, in the maintentance of high prices in country, despite the latest developments in the international markets.
