Exports of Made in Albania goods to the international market have seen significant growth during the recent years. The demand for Albanian products is now consolidated and increasing rapidly. The Albanian Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) confirmed in its recent publication for the month of February that exports of Albanian products increased by 18.7 percent more compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to INSTAT, imports of goods during the month of February increased by 4.1 percent, thus reaching the value of Lek 46 billion.
The positive trend of commerce helped to improve the trade deficit that for the month of February decreased by 8.2 percent compared to February 2017 and reached the value of Lek 22 billion.
The group of products with the highest impact on exports growth during February includes metals and construction materials, textiles and footwear, minerals, fuels, and electricity.
