The Ministry of Agriculture showcased in its headquarters a broad line of Made in Albania bio products in the “The Exhibition of Albanian agricultural and agrifood products”. Attendants in the opening ceremony were the Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti, vise PM Niko Peleshi and agriculture experts, businessmen in the respective field, and other participants.
The exhibition showcased Albanian certified bio products which get exported in several European countries during the year and awarded with the first price, “Arbi” wine cantina for the most qualitative products.
During his speech, Minister of Agriculture praised the event as an important element of bio products’ promotion with the motto: “Produce Albania, Trade Albanian, and Consume Albanian”. Panariti highlighted the importance of the certification of these products based on EU standards, by adding that agriculture is the motor of country’s economic revival and that government’s objective is the increase of production and exports.
“Agriculture is taking the needed attention and this exhibition is more than a festival of values, tradition and culture of the Albanian agriculture, Albanian producers in this field. Nowadays we have created a consolidated tradition in wine, honey and olive production, which are distributed in the Albanian and external markets by recognized brands,” declared Panariti.
Present in the ceremony was the deputy PM Niko Peleshi which called the exhibition as a testimony of successful wine and olive production in Albania, since several companies are currently applying to certify their products by international institutions. This is a process that must go on, said Peleshi, by making Made in Albania products desirable and wanted not only by Albanians but by foreigners too.
