Properties in Albania and Macedonia have the lowest rents compared to the other countries of the region. This was confirmed by the Eurostat annual publication on the European rental market.
A three bedroom apartment to rent in Macedonia costs about Euro 540 or Euro 130 cheaper than in Albania. The rent for a two-bedroom apartment is Euro 330 or Euro 190 cheaper than in Albania. The rent for small apartments is about Euro 230 or Euro 120 less than in Albania.
According to Eurostat’s survey, Serbia has the most expensive rents in the region. The monthly rent for a three bedroom apartment in Serbia can reach Euro 1,200.
The second most expensive rental market in the region is in Montenegro. Depending on the area, the average rent for a three bedroom apartment in the best part of Podgorica is Euro 980. Meanwhile, the rent for villas is about Euro 1550. In the meantime, rental rates in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital Sarajevo are about 10 Euros more than in Albania. The data for the Albanian rental market were collected referring to the areas of Elbasani Street, the Former Block, Selita, and Sauk.
