TIRANA, September 18
The Capital city will join the European Mobility Week, September 16-22, an initiative that is taking place in more than 2,000 European cities. Events that promote sustainable urban mobility are organized during this week. Meanwhile, in Tirana, the activities started on Monday and they will end on Friday, which is “In Town Without My Car Day”. Other events include open public talks, movie screening, promotion of ecological city transport and other events that encourage youth to use bicycles in order to promote it as a sustainable mobility practice. A bicycle race for children will be organized on Wednesday at the Martyrs of the Nation Boulevard.
Meanwhile, in town without my car day, will focus on three main areas, at Kont Urani Street, Luigj Gurakuqi Street, and in the Former Block area. Meanwhile, circulation will be restricted.
