The European Bank for Development and Reconstruction has opened the tender for the reconstruction and the rehabilitation of Port of Durres’ 7 and 8 aprons, worth EUR 40 million, except taxes. This project is co-financed also by the European Investments Bank and it will be applied by the Ministry of Transport and Industry and the Portal Authority of Durres.
The deadline for bidding companies to submit their application is set September 15, 2016 and according to the EBRD all the procedures that will be followed in this project will be in accordance with EBRD’s procurement policies and regulation. “The contract will be subject of EBRD’s Procurement Policies and Regulations, opened for all international companies,” according to a press release issued by EBRD.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has financed several projects in the infrastructure sector in Albania. One of the last projects funded by EBRD is the rehabilitation of secondary roads, worth EUR 100 ml which is due to finalize this September.
