Tourism in Albania will be funded by 30 million EUR for the development of rural areas with high touristic potential, with the aim to improve the public infrastructure and the life of communities.
The Albanian government has reached an agreement with the Council of Europe Development Bank for the improvement of infrastructure in undeveloped touristic areas such as Dajti and Tomorri parks and several seaside spots. The fund will be invested in the development of communities that live in alpine areas and along the coastline by protecting in the meantime the cultural and historical heritage.
A part of this fund will also be used in improving the practices which the local authorities use in governing and promoting the remote areas.
