On December 7th, the deputy Prime Minister Niko Peleshi and the Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti attended the inauguration of the Central Veterinary Laboratory, newly established at the Institute of Veterinary and Food Safety.
The Minister of Agriculture declared that this is the biggest investment in the veterinary field, an investment worth EUR 1 million. βThis laboratory is co-financed by the European Union and the Albanian government and is considered to be one of the most modern laboratories in the Balkans for analysis that ensure the safety of the livestock.β
Panariti stressed the importance of monitoring the health of animals as a guarantee for the food safety and added that this laboratory will serve to farmers and businesses in the agriculture field. This investment is also a helpful tool for the implementation of the reform in the veterinary sector, said Panariti.
The Deputy Prime Minister Niko Peleshi declared that this investment will guarantee more safety in the food industry and Made in Albania products will be safer and certified due to this investment.
