Official data from Institute of Statistics show that Albanian economy increased by 3.3% during the third quarter of 2014, after an unexpected growth inhibition in the second quarter of the year.
Sectors that contributed in the economic growth were trade exchanges, construction sector and services but revenues collected by transport sector decreased again, as a consequence of the closure of Belle Air company.
Data show also that country’s economy had an annual increase of 1.38% during the period of January-November 2014, based on Gross Value Added indicators.
The positive performance of the economy during the third quarter showed signs of economic revival, despite risks of low inflation and lately the threats from falling into deflation. Low inflation, says INSTAT General Director Gjergj Filipi, comes due to the factors that affect in the offer.
The economy is also risked and depended by the performance of Eurozone economy, since its member countries are Albania’s main economic partners in trade exchanges.
