Albanian women entrepreneurs will get support by a loan program that will be launched by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development during the first week of this month. The new program was announced by the Bank in an official press release, according to which the program will provide loans for small and medium enterprises run by women.
The EBRD is partnering with Intensa San Paola Bank Albania which will serve as ERBD’s local partner for “Women Entrepreneurs Program” and will provide loans to women entrepreneurs. The program is being initiated in the framework of the Program for West Balkan countries women entrepreneurs.
Through this program, women entrepreneurs will be able to receive loans and technical assistance by EBRD’s local partners, in order to improve the way they do businesses and increase their revenues. The Bank declared in the press release that Italy, Sweden and Luxemburg are the shareholders of this program. The project will be announced in an official event in the upcoming days in Tirana capital.
