Authorities have declared that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will provide a fund of EUR 1.1 ml for a comprehensive study of the railways system in the country.
The study will identify the most concerning problems of the system and will list the needed investments in order to make it functional and used by citizens. The project was presented as a draft law at the Economy parliamentary Commission and got approved by the Commission’s members.
The railways system is not preferable to the Albanian citizens and is frequented in very low levels due to the low infrastructure and bad administration.
