TIRANA, January 17
“Explore a coastline with beautiful white sandy beaches and an interior with a magnificent mountainous landscape,” this is what low-cost Transavia airline says about Albania. The Dutch carrier announced that direct flights to Tirana International Airport from Amsterdam will start on May 10. Flights can be booked starting at € 39 and round trips at €95.
The new low-cost route will help to increase the number of Dutch tourists visiting Albania as well as to reduce flight expenses for Albanian citizens that travel to Europe and beyond.
“A still-undiscovered gem can be found between Greece, Macedonia and Serbia: Albania. A country well worth discovering. Different cultural periods have given Albania an abundance of cultural attractions, particularly in the capital Tirana,” the presentation says.
Moreover, it highlights the archaeological sites, mountain villages, deserted beaches, active holidays for nature lovers and much more that Albania has to offer.
