Drivers to Pay Fee on Nations’ Road Starting Today

TIRANA, September 17

Starting Monday, 17 September, the fee on the Nation’s Road enters into force. Based on the contract signed with the concessionary firm, a specific fee was defined for every type of vehicle that will cross the highway. The inhabitants of Kuksi will receive a digital pass and pay a reduced fee while a zero fee will apply to people in welfare and people with special need. There are 11 lines of intercity transport that will also get a reduced fee.
In order to avoid long ques and traffic jam, ten booths are placed on the highway while the residents of Kuksi will use the lanes number 1 and 10.

Toll classes
The amount of the road toll will vary depending on the vehicle type and number of axles

The fee for motorcycles and three-wheeled vehicles – Lek 330
For Kuksi residents – Lek 50

Personal vehicles – Lek 660 (Euro 5)
For Kuksi residents – Lek 100
Six-wheeled vehicles with two axles – Lek 1,490
Medium trucks and heavy buses – Lek 2,140
Heavy trucks with four or more axles – Lek 2970

Frequent users are going to benefit a discount that will vary between 10 and 40 percent
