The Ministry of Finances and the Department of Taxation have announced the beginning of an intense control and inspection in the hydrocarbons retail and whole sail points throughout the country.
The inspection will be undertaken in the framework of the agreement reached between the Directorate of Customs and the Department of Taxation. The agreement foresees the inspection of the legal framework of all companies which produce, process, transport of sell hydrocarbons in the country.
The start of this wide inspection was announced in a press conference by the Ministry of Finances, and will be undertaken “with the aim to fight fiscal evasion and to improve the administration of these companies”.
Customs and Taxation office will have as a target the tax payers in this sector, retail and whole sail points, producing and processing companies of oil sub products, ect.
The Ministry of Finances announced that the fiscal administration has already identified all subjects at risk, including those businesses that have been registered as small business tax payers. For some of these businesses, their import activity has exceeded the allowed amount set by the institution.
