Phenix oil company has been fined by the Albanian Customs with 6.9 million ALL, charged for fiscal evasion after avoiding financial obligations for 78 kg oil. According to sources from the Department of Excise at the Albanian Customs, after controls at company’s headquarters Customs experts found a surplus of 78 kg undeclared crude oil ready for sale.
“Department Excise experts have classified the infraction as an administrative violation pursuant to article 2 point 2 and article 91 points 4 and 9 of Law 61/2012 “For Excises” (changed) and have penalized the subject through a fine of 6,920,275 ALL, 1 973 425 ALL of them is the amount of unpaid obligation and 4 946 850 ALL is the fine set by Directorate of Customs.
During February, the Department of Excise at the General Directorate of Customs have undertaken several of controls at companies which currently operate in the energy and hydrocarbons sector in the framework of fight against fiscal evasion and low quality of products.
