On September 12-13 2015, Eko Mendje NGO will organize “Day of Alps” folk concert in northern Lepushe village, Kelmend. The event will be a showcase of local traditions and customs through games, music, traditional costumes and handicrafts made by the locals. Kelmend area is situated several kilometers from Shkodra Municipality, the largest county in northern Albania.
During the “Day of Alps” event, the locals will organize fairs of local home-made products and traditional medicinal plants. The organizers will also provide camping tents for the attendees, horse rides, trekking and hiking for adventurous minds.

Day of Alps is an opportunity for you to enjoy the wonderful scenery and traditions of Albanian northern zones and to experience the life of locals in a two-day great event which will showcase the values of Kelmend area. The participants will also be tourists for two days, since the organizers have planned several other activities in nature, walks and tour guides for those who want to enjoy the pristine nature of Albanian Alps.
Day of Alps is being organized with the support of the Albanian goverment through “My dream” program.
