Ministry of Agriculture announced the compilation of a new fiscal package aiming to support the private entrepreneurships in the agriculture, agro processing and fishing sectors. The deputy Minister of Agriculture, Alban Zusi declared in an interview for the Albanian Telegraphic Agency that this fiscal package provides fiscal facilities for entrepreneurs investing in the fishing and agriculture sectors, the cut of hydrocarbons tax in the fishing industry and also the cut of customs duty taxes for several raw material agricultural products.
“Considering that agriculture is nowadays the most beneficiary sector for the country’s economy, the creation of this new package will ease and enhance the further development of this sector. Investments in agriculture in Albania mark the highest margin of the investment return and these changes come due to this”, declared Zusi.
According to Zusi, the amendments in the “For the adoption of customs duty” law will cut the customs duty tax for breeding materials which currently is 10%. The deputy Minister assures that the fiscal facilities in the agriculture and fishing sectors will be as a revolution that will encourage the Albanian farmers and lead entrepreneurs to new and long term ideas to invest in these sectors. This will have a direct impact in the increase of domestic production, exports and competition”, said deputy Minister of Agriculture, Zusi.
