The Council of Ministers approved on December 17 three agreements reached between the government and KfW German bank for the financing of several projects in water supply plants. The agreements reached in the framework of the IPA project by the EU for water supply projects in rural areas III, at the amount of 9.8 ml EUR.
During the meeting, the Council of Ministers also adopted the agreement reached between the Albanian government and KfW German bank for the accompanying measures related to the water supply projects, for rural areas III. The agreement provides that KfW will finance this project at an amount of 15 ml EUR. Also, it was adopted the agreement for the financing of “Rural Water Supply III” project, at an amount of 24 ml EUR.
The Albanian government and Germany have always had good relations regarding financing projects, since Germany is a big investor in Albania. The German government has invested more than 1 bl EUR in Albania since the fall of the communist regime, but also many German companies have invested continually in several key sectors of the Albanian economy.
