The construction of Arbri Road will begin in spring 2017. This was confirmed by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Sokol Dervishaj during a meeting that he held with a delegation from the Macedonian government, led by Minister of Foreign Investments Arlind Zeqiri. Both sides highlighted that much should be done regarding infrastructural projects in order to increase trade among countries.
Arbri Road will cut distance with Dibra region and with Macedonia as well. According to Dervishaj, this will be an important arterial road that will bring both countries closer to other important regional corridors.
They also discussed the creation of a joint labour group for the coordination of work regarding the railway between Albania and Macedonia. On his part, Minister Arlind Zeqiri said that several Macedonian companies are interested in investing in the Albanian coastline.
