TIRANA, October 26
The first edition of Construction, Architecture, and Urban Planning started on Friday morning in the premised of ExpoCity in the Albanian capital. The construction sector has a significant contribution to the country’s economy. Official data confirm that over 221 construction permits have been approved during the first quarter of 2018. The construction industry represents a vital sector of the Albanian economy and it is also one of the key promoters of economic growth.
Based on the importance of this sector, the organizers decided to bring together business representatives and companies in this three-day event that will last until 28 October.
The attendees will have the opportunity to participate in forums focused on the challenges the construction sector is facing.
“This sector along with architecture and urban planning are changing the everyday reality,” ExpoCity’s CEO Aida Lutaj said.
Moreover, she added that the lack of investment alternatives and the growth of liquidity from tourism, remittances, and informal cash flow, have once again stimulated investment in construction, especially in the housing sector.
